Comprehensive Career Assessment
and Psychological Testing
For Adults Struggling with Career Direction or Launching a Career
Struggling to launch your career? You may need more than advice—you may need clarity. If you’ve tried traditional career counseling but still feel stuck, you’re not alone. You may have ideas about what you want to do but find it hard to get started—or lose momentum before making real progress. You might be navigating repeated blocks despite support from friends, family, or guidance counselors. Although it would be easy to label this as lazy or due to a lack of motivation, that may not be accurate—there may be underlying psychological factors getting in your way.
What Makes This Career Assessment Different?
As a licensed psychologist with a Ph.D. in clinical psychology, I offer a comprehensive career assessment process that combines psychological testing and career exploration—something traditional career counselors can’t offer.
Psychological Testing for Career Barriers
For many adults, career challenges are not just logistical—they’re psychological. Issues like anxiety, executive dysfunction, ADHD, trauma, or perfectionism can interfere with launching or maintaining a satisfying career. As part of the process, I conduct in-depth psychological testing to assess whether underlying factors may be contributing to your difficulties. This includes:
-
A thorough diagnostic interview
-
Tailored psychological testing based on your unique presentation
-
Integration of testing results with your career profile
-
A clear, written report with insights, career recommendations, and referrals if additional treatment is needed
-
Career Assessment
Most career tests focus only on interests and offer vague suggestions. What I provide is far more robust and includes all of the following:
-
Values Assessment – What truly matters to you in a career?
-
Interest Profile – What fields naturally draw your attention?
-
Ability Testing – A hands-on, professional test battery that compares your actual skills with those needed in various careers (not just what you think you're good at)
-
Personalized Career Matches – Matched to your unique profile of values, interests, and abilities
-
Job Database Integration – See real, up-to-date job listings that align with your results
-
Step-by-Step Guidance – Learn exactly what experience or education is needed for each suggested career
The assessment tools I use are only available to professionals and go far beyond what you'll find in self-guided interest surveys.
